Let me invite you to read about my story through my words and, the words of those who were around me from as early as I can remember:
The rain started to pour down on the lands. It was one of the worst rain storms to hit the country in two hundred and fifty years. As the rivers rose above their banks many of the roads were washed away, going on to create newly formed lakes on the fields they covered. Lightning flashed fast and intense, the loud cracks of thunder following shortly after, It was so bad that you could feel the vibrations beneath you. Then you started to feel a completely different vibration around you, an alarming high-pitched siren was beginning to sound out loud, and then all the cries and the sounds of screams began to echo throughout the area.
“Run, my love, run for your life. Don't look back. Whatever happens, please go and find a safe place and stay there hidden. I promise I will come and find you, when it's safe again here so we can be together again. Please don't trust anyone, trust in yourself and follow your heart. Do not trust anyone with who you are or what you are. Just run. I promise I will come after you, and bring you back home again to us to our home just please run. I love you so much, my sweet child never forgets it. You are the only reason for me to continue fighting for our life. I will see you soon, my dear daughter. Just run now.”
About the Author
Born in the land of IKEA and meatballs - Sweden! - She spent her childhood in small town settings where the biggest thrill was perhaps chasing after goats or discovering hidden trails into a forest. Growing up, her love for animals and nature blossomed-who wouldn’t be captivated by the wild unknown, especially when it involves a few mischievous critters? She would also grow to have a deep appreciation for the mysteries of the universe - like why cats seem to think they own a place.
Over the course of her 35+ years on this planet, she has dabbles in a myriad of experiences, some would be amazingly exhilarating, others, well, lets just say “mundane” would be the simplest description for them. Her most thrilling escapade to date, however, has been navigating the chaotic circus brought on by her three little feral creatures - her children. They have brought more surprises that a magician with a hat full of rabbits. Yet somehow, amidst the daily whirlwind of toys, tantrums and the elusive quest for a quiet moment, she stumbled upon inspiration. An idea that began as a casual thought morphed in her mind to a fully-fledged story!
With a plot idea swirling like a tempest in her head, she couldn’t help but feel like she has charted a magical map leading to the realms of creativity. While her little creatures run wild and create chaos in their wake, she has been busy plotting epic quests, enchanting creatures, and maybe a dragon or two. Who knows? Now armed with a keyboard and a boat load of ideas, only she could dream of, leads her down a river with other stories waiting patiently like a line of ducks in her min.
